Proverbs 15

Proverbs 15:30
The light of the eyes rejoices the heart,
And a good report makes the bones healthy.

Light. again. Never realised how much light is in the Book of Proverbs.
Eyes speak about the window to our soul, so what we envision would affect the joy of the heart.
So it's a reminder to keep our eyes fix on Jesus and His love for us so that our hearts will be filled with joy.

And the next line says "a good report makes the bones healthy". When I saw the word "good report", it reminded me of the good report that Joshua and Caleb brought back from Kadesh Barnea.

Numbers 13:27-28
“We went to the land where you sent us. It is indeed flowing with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. But the inhabitants are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large. Moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there."

Basically all the 12 spies saw the same thing, but their version of the report differed based on their perspective of God. And the verse in Proverbs say that good report makes the bones healthy. So I went to look up "bones" in Hebrew and here it is translated as atsam which means "might/strength". And that's the secret of Caleb! Caleb was able to stay strong in the Lord because He believed in the goodness of the Lord! He saw what the other spies could not see, hence He found his strength in that, knowing that the Lord is good. Such a reminder that no matter what circumstances come our way, let's bring forth good report, based on the greatness of our Lord as compared to the size of our problems. We shall see our bones strengthened in the Lord!

Pro 15: 3
The eyes of the LORD are in every place,
Keeping watch on the evil and the good.

From the above verse, it says the eyes of the Lord are in every place. What spoke to me through this verse is the Hebrew word maqowm via the interlinear, which means place, land, city, etc. And in the first mention, in Gen 1:9, the verse says let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place. And this reminded me once again of the perfect sacrifice of Jesus. Because of the finished work of Lord Jesus Christ, we can now come before God, where He sees us righteous (the eyes of the Lord are in every place) And wherever we go, whatever we do, God's eyes are always on us, and His favours are upon us, and His presence is so tangible, so close to us, and we just need to let His grace superabounds in us, and transform us from glory to glory, so good! Praise the Lord!
